Im learning to program my new cube by tinkering with the example programs in the Gallery on Cubetube.
But it would be very helpful to find a definition of all the cube library calls available, with a description of the parameters and actions created.
Does anyone know where I can find such a resource?
Currently there is no formal documentation (afaik) for the Cube's L3D library functions. However, if you are somewhat familiar with Java/C/C++ language programming (not sure which viz'es you've been tinkering with, L3D or Java) you can have a peek in the function's prototypes located in the .h file to have a better idea on how to pass arguments to these functions and their respective return types;
This should get you going to experiment with them and see how their results reflect in your cube.
thanks for the reply. Ive been playing with the code from the gallery, forking some of the programs and tweaking parameters etc to get a sense of what is controlling what. But I dont know how to take a look in the .h file. Where is this accessible? Im sure I could figure out more of the functions as you suggest if I knew where to look
Hi Jon, you can have a peek at the L3D library code here.
