I own an L3 Cube from Kickstarter and I have been running it solely through the web interface.
This weekend, I decided to try out the spark pixel app. I downloaded the app onto an old android phone ... no problem.
On the firmware side, however, I hit a snag. followed all the instructions, but am running into an error when I try and compile the code before I flash it. Here is what I have done:
(1) Go to the Particle web IDE (https://build.particle.io/build/)
(2) Click on CREATE NEW APP and name it what you wish. I call mine UNDERCABINETPIXELS.
(3) Add the NEOPIXEL library, Click on the libraries icon and select NEOPIXEL (it should be at the top of the list). Then click on INCLUDE IN APP. Select the app you just created from the list. Then click on ADD TO THIS APP.
(4) Copy and paste the SparkPixel.ino code into the app, replacing any existing text.
Good until that step, but then when I try and flash, I get this error:
cube.cpp:256:22: fatal error: neopixel.h: No such file or directory
make: *** [../build/target/user/platform-6cube.o] Error 1
make: *** [user] Error 2
I'm a non programmer and a bit of DIY learner so I am probably missing something very obvious. I searched the forums but didn't find anyone else who ran into this. Thanks for any advice.
